I bought a package of Always lightly scented pads and am disappointed to find that I don't feel fresher with? - carefree pads

and it also seems to no odor (as opposed to Alldays panty liners or Carefree have). If this is how they should be, or perhaps they were too old? I could not find an expiration date or date of manufacture.
